There is a common saying, when one door closes, another opens. There is also a saying that goes, we may be too focused on the closed door to notice the open door right next to it. How often is this the case, where we are too focused on the opportunities missed, so we can’t see the other opportunities before us?
Opportunities are funny things, we have to take advantage of them before they will benefit us. Yet how often are we fearful of seizing an opportunity because we believe our self-doubt or our limiting beliefs? Do we create opportunities, or do they “just” appear?
With these questions in mind a conversation with my Inner Voice may add clarity to the subject of opportunities.

Why are we hesitant to pursue an opportunity?
Oftentimes opportunities lead you away from your zone of comfort. The idea of the new situation makes you uncomfortable, and many times there is a choice to stay where you are, rather than risk the possibility of failure.
Even if an opportunity is pursued, there may be a level of fear because of the unknown. This type of fear is a normal reaction that should not hinder you from seeing what possibilities exist in the opportunity.
There are many distractions in life and those close to us are always willing to share their opinions of what we should do. How will we know if an opportunity is true and right for us?
This is where your intuition has a role in your decisions. Through the self-loving act of learning to trust the messages your intuition sends you, you will know what is true and right for you. Even if the opportunity challenges you, you will have an intuitive feeling telling you if the opportunity will benefit you or not.
Learning to trust our intuition will help us to recognize if an opportunity is right for us. But what if we are still hesitant about stepping through that door?
When you are presented with an opportunity, you already have the ability to take full advantage of the situation. You are never given an opportunity without having the skill and insight, to see it through. Know your intuition is true, and that you have the ability to move into the next phase of your life, as long as you trust this loving guidance.
Why is it that we are never given an opportunity without having the ability to see it through?
The energy you radiate spreads out from you deep into the universe. Just as a pebble tossed into a pond radiates energy to all those who inhabit the pond. Your energy acts the same way. If you are positive, loving, and kind, then this energy will radiate out from you affecting everyone you meet, thereby changing the way the world reacts to you.
Your dreams, goals, and aspirations radiate energy as well. This energy is broadcasted out to the universe attracting similar energy back to you. Have you ever noticed when the ripples from the tossed pebble reach the other side of the pond, they begin to return back to their place of origin? The same thing happens with the energy you radiate. What you are asking for in the form of a dream or goal, is answered in the form of an opportunity. When an opportunity appears you are aligned with the energy of that which you truly want to occur in your life.
If this is the case then why do some opportunities seem to appear out of thin air?
They appear out of thin air because you may have forgotten the moment when you tossed the idea to the universe. Life can be full of distractions, because of this it can be difficult to remain focused on a goal or dream that is true to your heart. At some point you were seeking the very opportunity that has just now come along. Although you may have forgotten the moment, or the moment passed by so quickly you do not have a conscious memory of it. Once a thought is released into the universe, the energy keeps on, even if you are unaware of it consciously.
Every opportunity is meant for us, but what if it doesn’t work out?
Within every opportunity, whether they work out or not, there will be lessons you could not learn anywhere else. Either way the opportunity offered you a chance for growth.
Any final thoughts on opportunities?
Trust that when an opportunity presents itself to you, take the step and walk through the door. You may be challenged, you may at times find it difficult, but it will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself. Trust your intuition and move forward with its loving guidance.
